Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in 1920 as exercises for rehabilitation.
Since then, Pilates has been expanded to be effective in the fitness field as well.
By being aware of your breathing and body movements, Pilates exercises can help to balance muscles around the joints.
Like a lot of Hollywood stars who practice Pilates, you can improve your posture, enhance functional fitness, and achieve streamline your body by using your core muscles.
Pilates is also popular among ballet dancers because Pilates exercises contribute to maintaining a flexible and slender body.

Optimista is a Pilates studio for those who want to achieve strength, flexibility, endurance, and a streamlined shape.
The studio faces Aoyama Park so you can enjoy nature while taking lessons.

When she was 15, she went to England to study ballet at the Elmhurst Ballet School.
After graduating from Elmhurst, she moved to the Netherlands and completed her Bachelors Degree in Dance at the Codarts-Rotterdam Dance Academy.
She studied Pilates as part of the curriculum at both schools (Alan Herdman Pilates at Elmhurst, Classical Pilates at Codarts).
She then moved to Germany where she danced professionally

After her dancing career, she moved to the Philippines with her husband, where she continued practicing Pilates (Stott Pilates Method). Stott Pilates Certified Instructor (Mat&Reformer)

I teach Stott Pilates, which is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by Joseph Pilates. This approach combines modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and most effective methods available.
I am dedicated to personalizing exercise programs for people of all fitness levels, from beginners to athletes, and special situations, such as postpartum women.
On request, I can also add ballet stretches and ballet elements to the lessons.
It constantly inspires me to see the tremendous changes Pilates can make in People’s lives.
I also believe lessons should be fun….So come and join us!!
